In 1992, David Buring proposed to his wife, Jill, then pregnant with their second child and not much money in the bank, that he wanted to quit his job selling industrial chemicals for a family company and go out on his own. Being young with a positive outlook on life that things will always work out, they began River Products, Inc. David sold anything that he could get his hands on. Jill took care of the books. Before they knew it, they were in the outdoor advertising business, finding sites and selling advertising. River Products has branched off to two more companies, River Advertising, LLC and Burelz Investments, GP which have billboard holdings in each. The Buring's companies place ads for clients on billboards owned by others, also.
